Privacy Policy

The short version

Rooted Husband is a paid email subscription. We collect your email address. When you subscribe, payments will be processed by Stripe. We use your email to send you the devotional each morning and to run the subscription. We do not sell your data, we do not run third-party ad trackers, and we do not email you about anything else. Unsubscribing stops the emails; cancelling stops the charges.

What we collect

• Email address — collected at checkout. Used to deliver the daily email and service messages (receipts, trial reminders, subscription changes).
• Payment information — when you subscribe, collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs their handling: stripe.com/privacy.
• Basic site analytics — not live on this page yet. When added, analytics will be a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible). It will count visits and referrers, set no advertising cookies, and will not track you across other sites.
• Replies — if you reply to an email, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and improve the product.

What we do with it

• Send the morning email you paid for.
• Process and manage your subscription (trial, renewal, cancellation, refund).
• Answer your replies and support requests.
• When analytics is added, understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the landing page and where they came from.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. Ever.

Who processes your data

• Stripe — when you subscribe, payments and subscription management.
• Email delivery provider — the daily email is sent through a standard email service (currently manual sending; a provider such as Beehiiv may be used as the list grows). Your email address lives on that provider's servers solely so the email can reach you.
• Cloudflare — hosts the landing page. When analytics is added, Cloudflare or Plausible will provide the cookieless analytics described above.

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver the service, under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe — every email carries an unsubscribe link. One click, no questions, emails stop.
• Cancel — cancel your subscription anytime from the link in your receipt or by replying to any email. You keep access through the paid period; no partial-period games.
• Your data — reply to any email and ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. We'll do it within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (e.g., tax records of transactions).

Children

Rooted Husband is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll say so in the daily email before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
